DayONE is an interdenominational, Christian event in Lexington, SC. DayONE is designed to bring together women believers from multiple Christ-following churches within our community, to join hearts in prayer for Lexington County School District ONE schools.
- DayONE exists to bring mothers and women together to pray for the students, staff and schools of Lexington School District ONE. DayONE also exists to help women connect with other praying mothers in their community through a ministry called Moms In Prayer, International.
- (DayONE does not exist to promote any outside ministries, charities, church programs, or to encourage membership to a church.)
Through the faithful prayer of women and their obedience to God’s Word and His calling, Lexington’s very first DayONE took place on the first day of school for LexONE students, August 21, 2018. On that day, God brought over 200 Lexington area women to gather under one roof in prayer for Lexington students, schools and staff.
DayONE not only serves to pray for Lexington ONE students, staff and schools, but also to encourage women to connect with other mothers and female caregivers in our community (and specifically in their children’s schools) through a Moms In Prayer, International (MIP) group. After the 2nd DayONE event, held in 2019, LexONE school district went from having 8 out of 30 schools being prayed for by a MIP group, to 21 out of 30 schools being prayed for weekly in the 2019-2020 school year. 2020 and 21 rolled in with concerns about Covid-19 and put a damper on MIP groups and many groups found themselves not being able to meet.
Through the faithfulness of God, the DayONE ministry facilitated socially distanced prayer gatherings for women across the five LexONE high school parking lots at the start of the 2020 and 2021 school years. Since 2022, these unified prayers for students, staff, and schools have continued at a single location, primarily at Icehouse Amphitheater in the Town of Lexington. DayONE serves as the means by which God is connecting women in Lexington with MIP. Currently, dedicated women meet weekly in MIP groups to pray for 24 out of the 32 schools within the district. Furthermore, prayer support extends to the local American Leadership Academy charter school and Northside Christian Academy private school through MIP groups.
Ladies, this year we are uniting together again to meet at the Icehouse Amphitheater for DayONE 2025. Join us at the Icehouse Amphitheater in Lexington, SC on Monday, August 4th beginning at 9am. Join us, Lexington women, as we cry out to Jesus on behalf of the salvation, safety and sanctification of our entire school district, students and staff!
