DayONE is an interdenominational, Christian event in Lexington, SC. DayONE is not affiliated with one church, but rather is designed to bring together women believers from multiple Christ-following churches within our community, to join hearts in prayer for Lexington County School District ONE schools. (DayONE does not exist to promote any outside ministries, charities, church programs, or to encourage membership to a church).
Through the faithful prayer of women and their obedience to God’s Word and His calling, Lexington’s very first DayONE took place on the first day of school for LexONE students, August 21, 2018. On that day, God brought over 200 Lexington area women to gather under one roof in prayer for Lexington students, schools and staff.
DayONE is an interdenominational event in our community which first brought Lexington ONE moms together to pray on the first day of school in August of 2018. Birthed from a vision the Lord placed on the heart of mother Madelyn Mathias, her obedience to His calling, and the faithfulness of other praying women in our community, over 200 Lexington area women gathered to pray that day.
DayONE not only serves to pray for Lexington ONE students, staff and schools on the first day of school, but also to encourage women to connect with other mothers and female caregivers from their children’s schools through a Moms In Prayer, International (MIP) group.
After the 2nd DayONE event, held in 2019, LexONE school district went from having 8 out of 30 schools being prayed for weekly by a MIP group, to 21 out of 30 schools being prayed for weekly in the 2019-2020 school year.
Through the faithfulness of God, these unified prayers for students, staff, and schools have continued each year, primarily at Icehouse Amphitheater in the Town of Lexington on the first day of school. DayONE also continues to serve as the means by which God is connecting women in Lexington with Moms in Prayer.
Currently, dedicated women meet weekly in various MIP groups to pray for 26 out of the 32 schools within the district. Furthermore, prayer support extends to the local American Leadership Academy charter school and Northside Christian Academy private school through MIP groups.
We are uniting together again to meet at the Icehouse Amphitheater for DayONE 2026 on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 4th at 9am. Lexington women, come join together with other women from your children’s school(s) at our 9th annual DayONE prayer event for our LexONE students, schools and staff held on the first day of school! Private and homeschool mamas are welcome to come join us to pray their students into a new school year. There is also a designated area for women in our community who are coming to pray over all of the LexONE schools.
We can’t wait to see you August on 4th! Share the word and bring a friend!
